The Gold Eye Doctorfish (Acanthurus tennentii), also known as the Gold Eye Surgeonfish or Tennent’s Surgeonfish, is a vibrant marine species distinguished by its striking coloration and distinctive markings. This fish features a golden to yellowish body with prominent dark eye spots around its eye, giving it its “Gold Eye” name. It also has sharp, retractable spines on its tail used for defense.
